When I read the prologue, it immediately caught my attention. It's thrilling and at the same time could be true. Very vivid imagery, I felt like I was in the desert.

Wasteland city is an appropriate name, one that we can use in current times as well. "Repairs guns & things" is a fun sign, made me chuckle.

Impressive world building. I look forward to reading more stories in this series.
