Oh, I can relate to so much of this. Every day I wish that people were more careful about making noise. Luckily for me my home is okay. Outside is well, needs a lot of work to make it bearable. I often use regular wired earphones but I play music on them. On occasion I use noise canceling ones. Mine is from JBL, a basic model. I've heard that most of them are similar.
