I have the same question.

I've experienced a similar slash from September to October. Was it the fraud or a change in the formula or both?

I find the sentence "certain types of writing will see earnings go up, while others will go down" confusing because, for my non-boosted stories (which is most of them), earnings are similarly down.

I understand that Medium is making changes/improvements, but I would appreciate some clarity in this regard, as the shift is quite severe.
