I did grow up in a society where unsolicited advice was abundant and shoved down my throat, not only by my immediate family, but also by friends, relatives, teachers--basically everybody.

It was especially present in a dynamic where someone older to me, would say something which I would have to listen to. It would never be a two way communication. So, advice in general does leave a bad taste in my mouth.

I have spent a large part of my life listening to others--more than I've wanted to and being a version of myself which is socially acceptable. Which I regret.

A large part of my current journey of reclaiming my life is finding and being myself. And I kind of don't care if I am doing the wrong thing, or if better options exist. Whatever I think, or do or don't do--it just needs to be mine. And that brings me great peace and satisfaction.

Thanks for you support!

I'd rather be watching Netflix.
