I agree. Children have open, impressionable minds that haven't been numbed yet. And the way such stories are written, sometimes fun, gritty on others, and incorporating elements of fantasy, take you on an adventure of a lifetime. One we're unlikely to forget.

Also makes me think about how I write, and what is likely to create more impact.
